Basketball Academy President Arrested Again

A man already accused of mistreating his players was arrested in Roseville for the second time, this time concerning financial transgressions. The man, who allegedly inflicting corporal punishment on basketball players in his academy who were not performing, is being charged with forgery and fraud for using bad checks to buy furniture. He is facing seven felony counts of financial misdealing which defrauded the furniture store over $8,000.

F.A.N. had been arrested just last month for abusing the students at his prep school who had been boarding with him at his home during the time of the alleged abuse. Accusations of fraud stem from three repeated instances of the same crime. The accused is suspected of using bad checks to pay for auto parts and groceries as well as attempting to pay rent for his home by the same means. He is also suspected for signing over the deed of a home he does not own in payment to a bail bondsman. The owner of the home, who happens to be the man’s landlord, is currently in the process of evicting him after his repeated bad behavior. Local authorities are in the process of investigating the crimes concerning both arrests and will proceed with prosecution shortly.

The criminal justice system in California can be extremely harsh to those convicted of financial crimes and domestic violence. F.A.N. will be subject to harsher punishment under the counts of violence since his accusers are minors. If he is found guilty of the crime, he could be charged with child abuse.
